Job Summary
Coordinate and manage engineering consultants for permitting, staged design submissions, and material take-offs. Review external designs, drawings, and geotechnical reports to ensure constructability, code compliance, and foundation optimization. Conduct site visits for environmental compliance, surveying coordination, and installation quality assurance. Prepare submittals, transmittals, and RFIs while providing technical support during construction. Assist in supplier qualification, bid evaluations, and cost estimate development for project proposals. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver competitive engineering outputs and support business development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
- Registered or eligible for registration with APEGA as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) or P.Eng.
- 4–7 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in renewable energy or infrastructure projects
- Ability to travel to project sites in Canada and the USA
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with solar PV systems, piling methodology, and construction practices is an asset
- Experience with CAD, surveying tools, or engineering software
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage shifting priorities across multiple sites
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
