Job Summary
Civil Engineer with 7-12+ years of direct civil design experience leading plan production for utility-scale battery energy storage systems, solar facilities, and commercial developments. Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D for hands-on design delivery, including grading, drainage, and site layouts. Focused on renewable infrastructure, energy storage layouts, and equipment clearance/fire access considerations, while coordinating with municipalities, counties, and developers through local permitting. Mentors junior staff and drives technical excellence and schedule adherence in a hybrid Bay Area office. Desired credentials include EIT (required) and PE (highly preferred). Based in or local to the Bay Area; experience in EPC/engineering consulting environments is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 7 to 12+ years of direct civil design experience
- Deep, functional day-to-day proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- EIT registration required; PE highly preferred
- Bay Area-based or local to the Bay Area (relocation not offered)
- Solid background in grading, drainage, utilities; renewable energy exposure
- Experience coordinating with municipalities, counties, and private developers for local permitting processes
