Job Summary
Support the Tender Stage and Project Delivery for Grid System Integration Civil Works by developing concept solutions, managing civil works scope and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with Employers Requirements. Manage delivery of civil design and construction, coordinate with clients, designers and contractors, review supplier designs, and prepare internal estimates and technical submissions. Serve as main technical interface with the client for Civil Works, manage external designers and contractors, attend site as required, and ensure timely close-out of civil works documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction qualification
- Several years of experience in design management or construction activities
- High Voltage Substation experience would be beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of UK Construction techniques, Building regulations
- BIM
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to discuss subjects with Clients, Designers and Contractors and propose improvements
- Experience coordinating civil works design and construction across tender and delivery stages
- Experience reviewing supplier designs and managing design-build contractors
