Civil Engineer - Field Surveillance

Job Summary
Conduct construction surveillance across civil engineering work packages; verify works comply with contract requirements, specifications and quality standards; identify non-conformances and support preparation of quality reporting documentation; coordinate closely with contractors and multidisciplinary site delivery teams; contribute surveillance data supporting project quality performance indicators; promote compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements onsite; review quality inspection records before works are permanently covered; monitor contractor performance against approved quality control plans; support mitigation actions to maintain construction progress and quality standards; provide timely reporting of surveillance findings and emerging project risks; Hybrid Working – Flexibility to work from home and the office; Hinkley Point C project context and large-scale infrastructure experience.
Required Qualifications
- HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent vocational experience
- Experience working within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong communication skills and ability to build contractor relationships
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and drawing approval processes advantageous
- Experience using electronic devices for onsite inspection and reporting activities
