Job Summary
Perform calculations for structural steel and concrete designs under the direction of a Professional Engineer while managing project scope, budget, schedule, and technical information exchange. Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, design drawings, and studies to develop site, architectural, and structural steel drawings for natural gas, hydrocarbon, and industrial facilities. Coordinate with clients, architects, owners, and vendors to ensure deliverables are safe, compliant, and cost-effective. Develop and mentor drafting and design personnel. This role supports senior staff in managing engineering analysis and design tasks for concrete foundations and steel structures at our Derwent, Ohio office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Minimum 0-2 years' work experience with EIT
- Minimum 0-4 years' work experience without EIT
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Good communication and analytical skills
Desired Qualifications
- Engineer in Training (EIT)
- Working knowledge of 3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and structural modeling and analysis software
