Job Summary
Civil Engineer with 2+ years of structural and/or caisson foundation experience focused on structural and/or site (civil) design for substations and power delivery facilities. Responsibilities include developing design criteria, structure design (standard shape steel structures, tubular steel structures, fire walls), foundation design (drilled piers, shallow/pad, spread footing), and site design (grading & drainage, access road design, retaining/perimeter walls, water storm drawing design, hydrology studies). Proficiency with software such as Visual Analysis, STAAD.Pro, Risa, LPILE, MFAD, and CAISSON is listed; ACAD Civil 3D experience preferred. Depending on experience, may perform project management tasks including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, directing a team, project monitoring & control, client interface, and reporting. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 2+ years structural and/or caisson foundation experience
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong organization and planning skills
- ability to work in a team environment
- commitment to quality and accuracy
- willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules
- PE license is preferred depending on experience level
- knowledge of applicable codes, standards and design tools
- subject to client-mandated drug and background checking
- occasional travel/driving is required
