Job Summary
Civil Engineer sought to provide design, technical, and production support to design studios in the Alexandria office. Key responsibilities include learning civil site design aspects (site layout, sedimentation control analyses, grading & storm drainage, domestic water, sanitary sewer design), performing design tasks under guidance of Project Lead, meeting task timeframes, self-checking work, developing CAD-based design/drafting for plan production, collaborating with internal design teams and client consultants, researching regulatory requirements via due diligence, and applying established procedures to solve routine problems. Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering or related field, basic AutoCAD and Civil 3D knowledge, and an IT certification preferred; internship experience is also preferred. Passion for land development and design is desired.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field of study
- Basic Knowledge in AutoCAD and Civil 3D/Civil Design Software
- Microsoft Office Suite
- I.T. certification obtained or in-progress is preferred
- No prior experience required
- Internship experience preferred
- Passion for land development + design
