Job Summary
Manage all project and administrative tasks from standard to complex design phases, supervising the preparation of engineering documents for storm water management, sediment erosion control, and water/sewer design. Ensure compliance with Fairfax County codes, QA/QC policies, and performance standards while mentoring Design Engineers and Project Engineers. Interact with clients and agencies to understand requirements, perform overall quality control of budgets and schedules, and create proposals and contracts. Work independently to generate expected results through efficient time management within tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Civil Engineering
- Virginia Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in Civil Engineering design
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards
- Solid fine-grading and drainage design expertise
- Proficiency with design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Project management and supervision experience with proven decision-making and leadership abilities
- Ability to work within tight deadlines through efficient time management and organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
