Civil Engineer

Senior Civil Engineer – Land Development Team Lead overseeing a 2–6 person team. Responsible for coordinating with the Department Head/Group Manager to identify project priorities, delivering submittals, and directing the team’s activities to achieve goals. Lead projects or portions thereof, supervise staff, ensure design integrity through QA/QC, mentor junior engineers, and conduct performance reviews. May sign and seal drawings prepared under supervision. Provide professional and technical staff assistance, set goals and budgets, review work for accuracy against client and project objectives, and drive continuous improvement. Engage in occasional client interaction, support proposal preparation, and maintain positive relationships with city/county professionals and regulatory entities. Requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in Civil Engineering design of land development, project planning, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software; knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and related modeling tools (e.g., StormCAD, CUHP, EPA SWMM, HEC-RAS). Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Colorado PE license preferred; minimum 5 years of experience.
