Job Summary
As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer, you will review and check structural design calculations, perform structural analysis and design of bridge components, and develop preliminary design details using CAD software. You will be responsible for preparing design reports, project-related documents, and quantity take-offs, while also utilizing engineering analysis software such as LUSAS and RISA-3D. Mid-Level candidates require 4-10 years of experience and a BS in Civil Engineering, whereas Senior-Level candidates need 10+ years and a valid PE license in Louisiana.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
- 4-10 years related Bridge Design Experience (for Mid-Level)
- 10+ years related Bridge Design Experience (for Senior Level)
- Effective communication skills in English both orally and in writing
Desired Qualifications
- Valid PE license in Louisiana
- Proficiency in LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation
- Ability to learn and apply design specifications (AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI)
