Job Summary
Support planning and design of airport projects and act as the project representative for design construction projects. Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction while establishing effective working relationships with aviation management, staff, contractors, and others. Perform a variety of engineering tasks under mentorship and formal training, gaining exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions. Maintain a detail-oriented approach to meet client deadlines and contribute to a positive work environment. This on-site role is for an EIT with 2+ years of aviation experience at Kimley-Horn's Nashville office.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of prior civil aviation experience working within a professional design firm
- Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
- "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, and/or GIS
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- This is not a remote position
