Job Summary
Entry-level Civil Engineer position focusing on structural steel and concrete engineering, providing project engineering support to the Engineering & Project Management team; coordinates with E&PM Construction, plant outage coordinators, station planners, and contractors; assists in preparing Scope of Works, project schedules, and cost estimates; supports O&M problem solving for energy plants and helps monitor compliance to plans, specifications, and regulations; requires knowledge of structural analysis/design and experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD) with STAAD/MathCAD familiarity preferred; 10% travel, plant现场 exposure, and potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in civil/structural engineering from an accredited college
- FE or ability to obtain FE within 1 year of employment (preferred)
- Minimum: 12-18 months related power plant engineering experience or 12 months with FE (Engineer I)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of structural steel and concrete analysis and design
- Understanding of CAD software such as AutoCAD; familiarity with STAAD and MathCAD (preferred)
- Compliance monitoring to project plans, specs, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to develop Scope of Works, project schedules, and cost estimates
- Travel up to 10%; work in power plant environments; overtime as needed
