Job Summary
Contribute to and oversee civil/site design for municipal infrastructure, parks, schools, and industrial developments. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater management and roadway improvements. Conduct utility coordination and prepare construction documents for W/WW infrastructure. Assist with assigned municipal project tasks to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. Work independently or as part of a project team using technical expertise with limited supervision. Field assignments may include exposure to extreme weather, swing shifts, night work, and proximity to active traffic, requiring strict safety compliance and PPE. Must provide own transportation to job sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
- EIT required
- 4+ years' related work experience
- Proven proficiency utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment
- Good vision and hearing
- Ability to climb ladders, enter trenches or confined spaces
- Must provide own transportation to travel to job site(s)
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to pursue Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Proficient in AutoCAD® Civil 3d computer aided design software
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of software including, but not limited to Word Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to solve problems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks on schedule and within budget
