Job Summary
Civil Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in the aviation sector to design airfield and landside infrastructure (runways, taxiways, aprons, roads, and utilities), lead or support the development of detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, conduct feasibility studies and site assessments, and ensure compliance with FAA, ICAO, and airport authority standards. Responsibilities include managing project schedules and budgets, overseeing construction administration (RFIs, submittals, field observations), and presenting technical information to stakeholders. Requires a Civil Engineering degree (Master’s preferred) and a PE license; proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation; experience with pavement design tools such as FAARFIELD or COMFAA is a plus. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably with at least 3 years focused on aviation or airport infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, ICAO standards, and airport design principles
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software: Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation
- Experience with pavement design tools (e.g., FAARFIELD, COMFAA) is a plus
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
