Job Summary
Civil Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in the aviation sector. Lead or support the design and development of airfield and landside infrastructure projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, roads, utilities). Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates; conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and condition assessments. Perform grading, drainage, and pavement design using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation. Collaborate with airport authorities, regulatory agencies, consultants, and contractors to ensure design compliance and project coordination. Manage or support project schedules and budgets; oversee construction administration activities (RFIs, submittals, field observation reports); participate in stakeholder meetings and present technical information. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred), a PE license, 5–8 years of aviation-related experience, knowledge of FAA/ICAO standards, and proficiency with Civil 3D/AutoCAD/MicroStation; experience with pavement tools (FAARFIELD, COMFAA) is a plus; strong communication and teamwork skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably with at least 3 years focused on aviation or airport infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, ICAO standards, and airport design principles
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software: Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation
- Experience with pavement design tools (e.g., FAARFIELD, COMFAA) is a plus
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
