Job Summary
Civil Engineer in the aviation sector to design and deliver airfield and landside infrastructure projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, roads, utilities) with emphasis on FAA/ICAO compliance. Lead or support preparation of detailed drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates; conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and condition assessments; perform grading, drainage, and pavement design using Civil 3D/AutoCAD/MicroStation; coordinate with airport authorities, regulators, consultants, and contractors; manage project schedules and budgets; oversee construction administration (RFIs, submittals, field reports); present technical information in stakeholder meetings; requires PE license and 5–8 years of relevant aviation/airport experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably with aviation or airport infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, ICAO standards, and airport design principles
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation
- Experience with pavement design tools (e.g., FAARFIELD, COMFAA) is a plus
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Master’s degree preferred
