Job Summary
Conduct above and below ground electrical utility construction and EV charging station installation across British Columbia. Interpret blueprints, operate small excavators, and manage civil construction projects while adhering to OH&S guidelines. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting 50 pounds or more, and maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with the public. Requires a Class 5 driver's license, three years of underground utility experience, and ability to work cohesively within a team environment. Compensation includes an hourly rate plus LOA for out-of-town employees, with internal promotion opportunities available.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints
- Class 5 Drivers License
- In-depth knowledge of civil construction procedures, equipment and OH&S guidelines
- 3+ years' experience in underground electrical utility installation
- Positive attitude and works well with others
- Professional demeanour when dealing with the public
- Able to work outside in all-weather at all times of the year
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds or more
Desired Qualifications
- Recent working experience in similar role
- EV Charging Station experience
- Journeyman and FSR Designation
- 5 years+ experience
- Small excavator operation experience
- Class 1&3 drivers license
- First Aid & Ground Disturbance training
