Job Summary
Provide expert technical design assistance to customers by identifying optimal product solutions, advising on installation procedures, and solving on-site hydraulic problems. Maintain the Technical Services Information database, manage supply requirements, and generate submittal packages including plan drawings, details, and material take-offs. Collaborate with Inside Sales Representatives and Area Sales Managers to ensure customer satisfaction while gathering and verifying project information. Requires a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Drafting with a minimum of two years' experience in civil design, proficiency in AutoCAD 2021 or higher, and strong technical communication skills. Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Drafting or education combined with experience that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the civil design profession
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering construction documents
- Capacity to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Competence in writing technical correspondence
- Aptitude for effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and colleagues
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
- Skilled in using AutoCAD 2021 or higher
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Competence in MS Office Suite of Products
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical or governmental procedures
- Occasionally required to stand or walk
- Primarily required to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
- Consistently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Frequently required to talk or hear
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Monday – Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm except company designated holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Project experience specifying manufactured stormwater products preferred
