Job Summary
Civil Designer needed to join the Civil, Municipal, and Land Survey Group. Production support for civil engineering and land development projects, including preparing design and construction documents, assisting in CAD standards, providing in-house Civil 3D training, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities include preparing/editing civil design drawings with AutoCAD Civil 3D (site grading, utilities, stormwater), assisting with stormwater design and plan production, supporting engineers in construction documents for municipal/private projects, providing CAD help desk support, maintaining CAD standards, conducting in-house CAD training sessions, and collaborating with engineers, surveyors, and PMs to ensure quality. Strong CAD, civil design knowledge, and team collaboration are essential; candidates should have an associate/technical degree and proficiency in Civil 3D.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Technical Degree in Computer Graphics for Construction, Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying, or a related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required
- Experience with stormwater design and drainage system layouts strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of civil design and construction principles through education or work experience
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment
