Civil Design Technician - Roadway

Job Summary
Develop geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, grading design, drainage, superelevation, construction details, work zone traffic control, erosion control, and signing and striping plans using CAD software. Create and quality check technical drawings and plans of substantial complexity while maintaining the drawing database. Perform multifaceted calculations, suggest design changes based on engineering principles, and coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control. Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards. May supervise and train CAD staff. Requires minimal supervision to perform day-to-day tasks with 3+ years of relevant experience and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.
Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of relevant experience
