Job Summary
Oversee and support the design and development of site civil and roadway design projects for public and private clients, specializing in site grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design. Direct and supervise entry-level engineers and technicians while serving as the primary point of contact for client issues and communication. Assess project requirements to develop scope, schedules, and cost estimates ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery. Requires a Tennessee P.E. license, proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D, and 4-6 years of design experience. This full-time, on-site Chattanooga role offers a competitive $100K-$140K salary with medical, dental, and 401(k) benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in designing and developing site and roadway plans for permit and construction
- Ability to take on project management responsibilities including directing and supervising the work of entry-level engineers and technicians
- Serve as the point of contact for client issues and communication
- Assess client project requirements, develop scope, schedules, and cost estimates to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meeting client expectations
- Proficient knowledge of civil engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university
- 4-6 years of design and project management experience
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Tennessee
