Job Summary
Civil Design Engineer with 3+ years of experience in Greenville, NC to work on a variety of civil engineering design projects. Responsibilities include creating construction drawings from survey base drawings, preparing drawing sets for permitting and construction under supervision of a project Engineer, self-review and peer-review of drawings, coordinating with Drafters, Designers, Engineers, Landscape Architects and Inspectors, and performing basic Civil Design tasks such as street grades, water and sanitary sewer layouts, stormwater systems, parking lot layout, and site plan development. Expertise with Civil 3D and the ability to translate drawings into real-world conditions are key, along with collaboration across disciplines to ensure accurate and complete designs.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of civil design experience
- Proficiency with Civil 3D
- Experience setting up construction drawings from survey base drawings
- Ability to prepare construction drawing sets for permitting and construction under supervision
- Ability to self-review and review drawings for accuracy
- Strong coordination with Drafters, Designers, Engineers, Landscape Architects and Inspectors
- Experience with street grading, water system layout, sanitary sewer layout, stormwater layout, parking lot layout, and site plan development
- Understanding of how drawings relate to real-life conditions with supervision
