Job Summary
Conduct property and development drainage assessments, design earthworks, roads, and regrading solutions, and prepare flood assessments and remediation plans. Develop site water quality, quantity, and drainage strategies using hydraulic, hydrological, and water quality models alongside GIS and civil design software. Work within a multidisciplinary team on projects ranging from land development to subdivision, applying critical thinking and attention to detail to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Civil Engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia
- Sound understanding of civil engineering principles (hydrology, hydraulics, traffic, road design, etc.)
- Good written and verbal communications skills in English
- The ability to work in a culturally diverse and multi disciplinary team environment
- Positive and proactive attitude and be motivated, team player, organised and eager to learn
- The ability to think critically, follow a system and have sharp eyes for detail
- Full time Australian work rights, preferably permanent (no restricted visa holders)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in multi disciplinary consultancy, especially in land development and subdivision projects, preferably in Australia
- Hydraulic, hydrological and water quality models (TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC-RAS, RAFTS, MUSIC, 12d Model's DNE, etc.)
- GIS software packages (QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.)
- Civil design and modelling software packages (12d Model, Civil 3d, etc.)
- Computer programming and scripting (Python, PyQGIS, VBA, PowerShell, C++, AutoLISP, etc.)
- CAD software packages (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, etc.)
- NSW full driver licence
