Job Summary
Plan and schedule crew activities and equipment to ensure quality workmanship, safety, and schedule adherence on tower site construction projects. Oversee ground work, build installations per customer specs, and maintain safe environments by conducting daily JSA form completions, leading tailgate safety meetings, and performing PPE inspections. Read drawings, piping diagrams, and job specifications while inspecting grounding, terminations, fastening, and bolting procedures. Prepare time sheets, expense reports, and safety logs; maintain tools, vehicles, and trailers in operational condition. Commit to ongoing industry education, including OSHA 30 and DOT certifications, while working in adverse weather with frequent travel up to 80% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation to and from office location
- Must be willing to travel and be able to work within a non-structured schedule, i.e., long hours, weekends, etc.
- Mechanically inclined
- Must have valid Driver's License and the ability to obtain a DOT physical certification
- CDL Class A certification a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check for government security clearances
- General tower and fall protection safety knowledge and ability to utilize 100% tie off techniques at all times
- Ability to properly inspect and use PPE
- Must have complete knowledge on use and care of basic hand tools and power tools
- OSHA 30
- First Aid/CPR
- Basic knowledge and understanding of DOT driver qualifications
Desired Qualifications
- Construction and maintenance experience of Self-Support and Guyed towers, monopoles and antenna structures preferred
- Knowledge of using transits, compass, set azimuths to standard engineering processes
- Equipment certifications; forklifts and boom lifts
