Job Summary
Civil Construction Project Manager responsible for on-site project budgets and schedules, overseeing site work on construction projects in the Charlottesville and Lynchburg, VA area with additional site activity in Durham, NC as indicated by project locations. The role entails creating owner change orders and owner billings, reviewing subcontractor billings and vendor invoices for on-time payments, maintaining relationships with owners, vendors, subcontractors, and office staff, and ensuring projects stay on schedule. Requires strong estimating capabilities, reading plans and specifications, proficiency with cost-estimating tools and spreadsheets, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work independently, pass a drug test, and demonstrate strong customer interaction and computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- 6 years of construction experience preferred
- Experience in utilities construction
- Ability to read Plans & Specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must pass drug test/screening
