Job Summary
Civil Construction Project Manager at Amrize Cement Inc. Alpena Plant — lead planning, budgeting, and execution of civil infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, water systems) from conception to completion. Responsibilities include developing project plans, schedules, and budgets; on-site site management; coordinating with engineers, architects, and stakeholders; managing subcontractors and vendors; enforcing MSHA and company safety regulations; quality assurance; client and regulatory communications; and reporting to executives. Requires 7–10 years of civil construction management experience (Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred), strong proficiency with Procore/Primavera P6/AutoCAD/MS Project, and ability to work in the USA with 0–10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of proven experience in civil construction management, engineering, or a similar role overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, MS Project)
- Ability to lead, mentor, and manage large, diverse teams
- Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets and cost forecasting
- Eligible to work in the USA
- CCM designation (preferred)
- Experience with local municipal authorities and permitting processes (preferred)
