Job Summary
Pipe Layer for Civil-Site & Utilities contractor focused on water mains, sewer, and storm drainage projects in Central and Southwest Virginia. Install Water mains (Ductile & PVC), Gravity Sewer, Storm Drainage, Conduits & Duct Banks. Candidates should have construction experience, a valid driver's license, own transportation, and the ability to lift 60 lbs, read a tape measure, and work safely. Responsibilities include installing pipe and related utilities; willingness to work overtime on Saturdays; passing drug tests and background checks; providing three-character references. Must be able to pass ground screening and be prepared to travel to job sites across the Charlottesville area. DOE pay range is $16-23 per hour, with benefits and overtime as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Must have previous construction experience
- Valid driver's license
- Must have own transportation to job sites
- Must be able to lift 60lbs, squat, and climb ladders
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must work safely
- Must be able to pass a drug test / ground screening
- Willing to work overtime on Saturdays
- Must pass drug test/screening
- Must possess a positive can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
- Will need to provide three-character references
