Job Summary
Follow all safety protocols and contribute to the success of the safety program while performing tasks as required on the construction site. Operate and maintain small tools, manage shoveling and site clean-up duties, and execute other assigned responsibilities. Maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with the public and work as a team or independently as needed. This role requires a valid BCCSA traffic control ticket, provincial driver's license, and physical fitness to lift 50 pounds or more. Candidates must be able to work outside in all-weather conditions year-round. Only local residents of Bamfield will be considered for this hourly compensated position.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to take and follow instruction
- Valid BCCSA traffic control ticket
- Professional demeanor when dealing with the public
- Able to work outside in all-weather at all times of the year
- Ability to work as a team as well as independently when required
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds or more
- Able to do extensive physical labour
- Valid provincial driver's license
- Recent working experience in similar role
- Two years' experience in civil construction
- First aid training
