Job Summary
Perform general labour duties to support civil construction, mining, and pipeline maintenance activities by shoveling, raking, grading, compacting, and placing materials. Assist supervisors, equipment operators, pipe crews, and truck drivers with site preparation, material handling, traffic control, and cleanup. Act as a spotter when required and maintain safe access routes, work zones, and material storage areas while following all safety policies and procedures. Adapt to changing project requirements, site conditions, and weather in active construction environments across Western Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, carry, shovel, rake, and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
- Ability to travel to project locations throughout Western Canada as required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous civil construction, mining, pipeline, roadwork, or general labour experience
- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to travel for project-based work
- Ability to follow direction and work safely as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
- Ability to work around heavy equipment, trucks, tools, and active construction operations
- Willingness to learn and support a variety of project tasks
- Strong commitment to safety and following site procedures
- Previous construction labour experience
- Experience in civil construction, mining, pipeline maintenance, road construction, drainage, utilities, reclamation, or earthworks
- Traffic Control Person / Flagger certification
- Ground Disturbance, CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, H2S Alive, or other safety certifications
