Job Summary
Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operator on civil/site utilities projects in Charlottesville and Lynchburg, VA. Operate Trackhoe, Backhoe, Dozer, End Dump, skid steers, wheel/track loader, mini excavator, and roller to perform demolition, clearing, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete work, water mains, sewer and storm drainage tasks. Requires ability to read a tape measure, lift 60 lbs, pass a drug screen, valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), and availability for occasional Saturdays. Virginia residency and leadership orientation are valued; CDL preferred with opportunities for growth and being a hands-on team player.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience preferred in civil engineering field
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must be able to lift 60lbs, squat and climb ladders
- Must pass drug test/screening
- Must be available to work occasional Saturdays
- Valid driver’s license required, CDL preferred
- Concrete experience preferred
- Pipe laying experience preferred
