Job Summary
Assist skilled workers with site preparation, material handling, and concrete mixing while holding materials and performing assigned tasks. Execute duties including digging, spreading, and leveling dirt and gravel; pouring and spreading concrete, asphalt, and gravel; and handling building materials. Support tools and equipment setup, such as welding machines and crane rigging, and lift or carry materials like pipe and fittings throughout the facility. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with job site safety requirements and reading off Job Safety Analyses prior to shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
- Must be able to lift 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead
- Must be able to carry objects, tools, equipment, etc.
- Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level
- Must be able to maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.
- Must be able to reach in all directions
- Must be able to handle and manipulate objects and materials
- Must be able to coordinate the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment
- Must be able to wear respirator and other PPE
- Must be able to work in excessive heat
- Must be able to work in excessive cold
- Must be able to work in loud environment
- Must be able to read and sign off on JSA prior to starting shift
- Must be able to dig, spread and level dirt and gravel
- Must be able to touch up paint
- Must be able to pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel or other materials
- Must be able to handle building materials
- Must be able to fix flats and change out tires on trailers and mobile equipment
- Must be able to lift and carry materials such as pipe and fittings throughout the facility
- Must be able to help with tools and equipment such as welding machine set up
- Must be able to rig for the crane
- Must be able to tighten headstock etc.
- Must be able to maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Must be able to perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
- Must be able to operate the crane (if certified)
