Civil CAD Technician

Job Summary
Capture and revise detailed technical drawings from owners for transportation, municipal, and land/site development projects using MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D. Create precise survey drawings, cross sections, 3D models, and volume calculations while performing quality checks to ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with superintendents, surveyors, and project managers to understand requirements, assist with design and quantity calculations, and prepare construction plans and technical documents. Perform field checks when needed to verify data accuracy and maintain organized project files. Work in various weather conditions, including temperatures over 85 and below 40 degrees, following specific directions and maintaining defined standards of accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
- See and hear well (naturally or with correction.)
- This is a safety-sensitive position
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, CAD Drafting, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Previous experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, GEOPAK, and/or OpenRoads software
- 5 Years of experience in the field of Civil CAD drafting
