Job Summary
Manage complex civil engineering land development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Develop budgets, schedules, scopes, and work plans while ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. Perform engineering design for grading, drainage, utility, street improvements, and storm drains; conduct complex calculations for earthwork and analyze solutions to drainage problems. Supervise teams of engineers and technicians, check routine designs, and represent the company in coordinating with agencies, clients, and consultants. Requires a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, 7+ years of land development experience, a California P.E. license, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college
- 7+ years' experience in civil engineering and design specifically pertaining to land development projects
- California P.E. license
- Current and recent experience with various public agencies in Southern California
- Current and recent experience with large residential and commercial developers in Southern California
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- High proficiency with code principles and ability to convey them to others
- Proven expertise in land development and public works design
- Experience in management of client relationships
- Capability to manage a project from start through construction administration and handle multiple assignments concurrently
