Job Summary
Direct traffic for utility construction crews by flagging work sites, managing lane closures, and detouring traffic to ensure public and crew safety. Maintain work zone setups, including daily setup and tear-down, while driving company trucks and organizing equipment. Provide clear direction to customers and the public, adhering to state and federal guidelines for effective, safe zones. Maintain a quick pace, follow directions, and deliver high-level customer service with on-time arrival. Requires valid driver's license, IBEW membership, ATSSA Flagger certification, and First Aid/CPR certification. Flexible schedule with peak season availability.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record
- Current IBEW membership with Trainee classification
- Ability to recognize dangers using hearing and vision, being fully engaged and alert of their surroundings
- Ability to handle stressful situations and take safe action to avoid serious injuries to any pedestrians, vehicles, customers, and employees
- Ability to understand traffic signals/signs, traffic plans and customer requests
- Ability to communicate with customers, the public, and with other team members
- Reliable Transportation with ability to commute throughout Northern California
- Punctuality, time management and willingness to work in a team environment
- Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
- ATSSA Flagger Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Flexible Schedule

- Dexterity in the use of hand and fingers
- Reaching, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing and Vision (up close, at a distance, along the periphery)
- Employment is contingent upon verification of legal authorization to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Any required drug screening conducted in compliance with applicable state and local laws
