Job Summary
Traffic Control Technician responsible for on-site leadership of work crews in roadway safety operations, reviewing traffic control plans, installing equipment and flagging setups, managing work zones per MUTCD standards, coordinating with agencies and customers, delivering equipment, driving company trucks, and conducting safety analyses and crew assessments to ensure safe, efficient traffic control during utility contractor projects.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving experience
- Current IBEW membership with Traffic Tech classification
- Ability to read and understand traffic control plans
- OSHA 10 Certification
- OSHA 30 Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- ATSSA Flagger Certification
- TCT certification by ATSSA preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Cal Trans MUTCD
- Strong leadership and customer service skills
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to work in high-volume outdoor locations
- Reliable transportation to commute throughout Northern California
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years in an equivalent Traffic Control role
