Job Summary
Oversee work zone setups, maintenance, and tear-downs while implementing traffic control equipment per MUTCD standards and applicable plans. Flag traffic, manage lane closures, and supervise crews to ensure safety for motorists, pedestrians, and utility workers. Drive company trucks to deliver equipment, tow vehicles, and maintain organized work zones. Conduct daily Job Hazard Analysis meetings, provide performance feedback to management, and submit detailed safety reports for incidents or near misses. Maintain continuous focus on safety and clear communication with customers and agencies throughout Northern and Central California.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record
- Current IBEW membership w/Traffic Tech classification
- Ability to read and understand traffic control plans
- Can establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and others
- Can work independently with minimum supervision while prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Strong conflict resolution techniques
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent multitasking, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Reliable Transportation with ability to commute throughout Northern California
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years in an equivalent Traffic Control role
- OSHA 10 Certification
- OSHA 30 Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Proficient knowledge of the Cal Trans MUTCD
- ATSSA Flagger Certification
- Employment is contingent upon verification of legal authorization to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Successful completion of any required drug screening

- TCS certification by ATSSA
