Job Summary
Lead on traffic control operations for construction sites across California. Supervises traffic control crew, executes flagging setups, single to multi-lane closures, road closures, detours, and specialized projects; provides onsite leadership and training, conducts jobsite evaluations, and ensures compliance with safety and industry guidelines. Works with safety & training and field operations to maintain job-site compliance, develops superior knowledge of work zone setup, and delivers high-level customer service. Responsibilities include client contact, adherence to MUTCD guidelines, driving company trucks, operating towable equipment, and evaluating employee performance. Requires LIUNA journey person classification, ATSSA certifications, OSHA 10/30, First aid/CPR, TMA certifications, and bilingual skills a plus. High school diploma preferred; 3 years’ lead experience preferred; strong leadership, communication, and organization skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- 3 years’ experience in a traffic control lead role or equivalent preferred
- Valid ATSSA flagging certification
- Valid ATSSA traffic control tech certification
- Valid ATSSA traffic control supervisor certification
- OSHA 10 certification
- OSHA 30 certification
- First aid/CPR certification
- TMA certification
- Has received all internal training required for lead advancement
- Valid CA driver’s license with a clean driving record/insurable
- Experience driving medium duty vehicles and towing trailers
