Job Summary

Coordinate traffic flow around active construction and utility work zones using "Stop" and "Slow" signals, two-way radios, and hand gestures. Manage day-to-day work zone setup, maintenance, and tear-down while maintaining unrelenting focus on safety for motorists, pedestrians, and workers. Assist crew leaders in organizing equipment, setting up barricades and cones, and driving company trucks as needed. Communicate effectively with customers, the public, and team members to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications

Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record
Valid ATSSA Flagging certification
Current LIUNA membership with journey person classification
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
Ability to write clear instructions, explanations, and correspondence
Ability to read, understand, and implement TCPs and follow industry guidelines
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
