Job Summary
Loads and unloads assigned delivery trucks, conducts thorough pre-trip inspections, and secures loads for safe metropolitan deliveries and pickups. Operate a 5k lb. forklift and maintain organized fleet vehicles while completing daily routes, submitting manifest paperwork, and adhering to DMV regulations and safety guidelines. Interact professionally with customers and team members, keeping the vehicle clean and organized. Full-time Monday through Friday shifts averaging 38-50 hours with a $23/hr salary and $500 sign-on bonus after six months.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift certification
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to use hands
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be able to climb or balance
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

- Must be able to make deliveries/pickups in a metropolitan environment
- Must be able to conduct a thorough pre-trip inspection
- Must be able to secure load properly
- Must be able to complete daily route while adhering to all DMV regulations
- Must be able to accurately complete and submit manifest paperwork
- Must be able to follow Wilbert's safety guidelines
- Must be able to use provided PPE
- Must be able to interact with Wilbert's customers, team members, and managers in a respectful and professional manner
- Must be able to keep delivery vehicle clean and organized
- Must be able to clean and maintain an organized fleet vehicle
- Must be able to load and unload assigned delivery truck with assistance from HQ staff
- Must be able to navigate tight city streets
- Must be able to parallel park 'box truck' style delivery vehicles
- Must be able to manage traffic with professionalism and patience
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to stay active throughout the day
- Must be able to take pride in customer satisfaction
- Must be available for overtime deliveries
- Must be willing to accept overtime deliveries
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday
- Must be able to work full-time shifts averaging 38-50 hours
