Job Summary
City Custodial Assistant in the Facilities Management Unit of the New York County District Attorney's Office. Under close supervision, performs cleaning of office spaces and immediate grounds, dust mops, scrubs and waxes floors, vacuums, cleans restrooms and wash basins, replenishes supplies, washes walls, disposes of waste and recycling, cleans sidewalks including snow removal, and uses cleaning equipment. Responsibilities include light labor and other duties; must have high school diploma (preferred) and custodial experience; ability to operate vacuums and related equipment; ability to work alone or in a team; ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures.
