Job Summary
Respond to behavioral health calls alongside CIT officers, providing on-scene crisis intervention, lethality screening, and resource linkage. Conduct behavioral health assessments, coordinate care, and maintain follow-up for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises. Collaborate with hospitals, jails, and community partners while maintaining program statistics and performing assigned tasks. Requires a Bachelor's degree in human services, Ohio behavioral health licensure or eligibility within six months, and a valid driver's license. Full-time employment with no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field
- Ohio licensure (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Required automobile insurance
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet
- Ohio behavioral health license or eligibility within 6 months
- Minimum auto liability coverage as required
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
