Job Summary

Cisco Network Engineer – Consultant responsible for configuring, installing, maintaining, and upgrading a statewide network infrastructure built on Cisco/Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet/FortiGate, Citrix NetScaler, and Trellix. Senior engineer will monitor network performance, ensure security/compliance best practices, and implement updates to maintain connectivity and secure version control. Works within a multi-team environment, supports multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting, and provides knowledge transfer and informal training to peers. Responsibilities include configuring and upgrading networking products, troubleshooting failures, network design/installation/configuration, maintaining diagrams and documentation, providing troubleshooting and problem resolution, and addressing issues in a complex voice-integrated infrastructure. Onsite interviews are required; contract duration is 12 months with potential extension; work location is fully onsite. Applicants must reside in SC, NC, or GA and be willing to relocate within 40 miles of Blythewood, SC.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with Cisco Firewalls
  • 10+ years of experience with Cisco Routers
  • 10+ years of experience with Cisco Switches
  • 10+ years of experience with Cisco VPN
  • 10+ years of experience with Cisco Administration
  • 5+ years of experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
  • 2+ years of experience with Palo Alto XDR
  • Certification: CCNA and/or CCNP
