Job Summary
Circulatory Support Technician at Sutter Health (San Francisco) supports the operating room perfusion workflow by ensuring adequate inventory of perfusion and blood salvage devices, performing autologous blood salvage for pediatric and adult patients under supervision, assembling monitoring transducers, and maintaining anesthesia-related equipment. Requires High School Diploma or GED (College science/math experience preferred), BLS certification within 90 days, strong skills with perfusion hardware/disposables, inventory management, basic math, and ability to train others; expects flexibility in varied Per Diem/Casual shifts with weekend availability. EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans. Pay range varies by location; base pay is part of total rewards program.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience required
- College or equivalent of two years with emphasis in the sciences, biology and/or mathematics, or equivalent education/experience preferred
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days
- Skilled in the use of hardware and disposable devices used by perfusionists during cardiovascular perfusion
- Knowledge of english language w/ written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal and customer service skills
- Basic keyboarding and computer skills
- Ability to train others
- Ability to maintain levels of inventory to assure availability
- Basic math skills demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail
- Must be flexible and able to function independently
- Manages multiple demands in a rapidly changing and challenging environment
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot problems with equipment
