Job Summary
Circle Lead Engineer (CLE) to guide and mentor multiple engineering teams within Travelers' Personal Insurance Technology landscape. Responsible for end-to-end engineering tasks, defining solution architectures and design, establishing software engineering best practices, and ensuring systems are well-bounded, composable, and production-ready. Responsibilities include technical guidance to Team Lead Engineers, collaboration on architecture, planning and estimation, ownership of technical interdependencies, problem solving across circles, and driving continuous improvement while coaching others in design patterns and system architecture. Requires 7+ years of software development, 2+ years of technical leadership, and proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, with AWS (CDK), Terraform, Jenkins, API development, GitHub, and GenAI integrations. Strong communication, leadership capabilities, and domain expertise to align with business priorities and deliver robust multi-team solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in education and/or work experience.
- 7 additional years of software engineering experience.
- 2 years of technical leadership experience.
