Job Summary
Contribute to the implementation of CIMMYT research activities under the leadership of the host scientist while developing joint research proposals and participating in scientific publications. Facilitate collaboration by engaging the host scientist in relevant activities within your institutional research program, including exchange visits, field activities, workshops, and scientific conferences. Participate in strategic and technical meetings and submit an exit report using the prescribed template to document achievements and support continuous program improvement. This one-year part-time affiliation includes a monthly allowance of USD 1,000 and covers travel expenses for approved activities, with a possibility of extension based on performance.
Required Qualifications
- Be active full-time employees of a National Agricultural Research Institution in one of the target countries
- Have institutional support and endorsement from their employer
- Hold one of the following qualifications: A PhD in a relevant discipline awarded within the last 10 years, with evidence of an active research program and scientific contributions; or An MSc and 5-10 years of demonstrated leadership experience in agricultural research, including leading research projects, programs, or technical initiatives
- Demonstrate strong scientific potential and a commitment to collaborative research
- Have good written and spoken English skills
- Participate in exchange visits, field activities, workshops, and scientific conferences, subject to funding availability

- Work in disciplines including: Plant Breeding and Genetics, Seed Systems, Agronomy and Crop Management, Socioeconomics and Market Systems, Biometrics and Data Science, Applied Genetics and Genomics, Crop Physiology, Crop Protection
