Job Summary
Lead Data Quality initiatives within the CIB Chief Data Office to deliver business impact through transformation of data quality management. Responsible for implementing DQ practices across the CIB to support BCBS 239 regulatory requirements, documenting end-to-end data lineage, and partnering with operations, technology, and product control to document data quality controls across critical data flows. Provide data quality advisory services through focused project management and deep business analysis; accelerate root-cause analysis and governance of DQ issues; collaborate with technology to remediate data quality issues. Leverage productivity tools (e.g., Alteryx) and visualization tools (Tableau/QlikView) to analyze large datasets and draw actionable insights.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7+ years in data management, governance, or analytics within financial services/fintech; 2+ years in compliance/risk data roles
- Deep understanding of data management, governance, and lifecycle; advanced product development and analytics knowledge
- Skilled in working with large data sets; SQL; ETL; experience with BI tools (Sigma, Tableau, QlikSense, Alteryx, Cognos)
- Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving; detail-oriented; strategic thinker using data for scenario evaluation and strategy development
- Experience in data quality, data lineage, data control documentation and metadata management (project management capabilities)
- Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Experience in data product management (preferred)
- Experience in a CDO or Data Quality organization within a financial services firm (preferred)
- Experience querying databases/data stores for data analysis (preferred)
- Ability to foster innovation through creative problem-solving and adoption of new technologies (preferred)
