Job Summary
Facilitate communication between Chuukese and English speakers by processing information quickly and accurately while maintaining a quiet, secure environment. Render correct concepts according to established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions, and explain cultural concepts upon client request. Utilize notepads, writing utensils, and reference materials to maintain high accuracy. This remote position requires fluency in both languages and offers ongoing training and monthly payments.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English and CHUUKESE
- Proficiency/Bilingual/Native level of English and target language
- Steady wired internet connection
- USB Wired headset
- Windows 10 or higher
- Computer or Laptop
- Must be able to work in a quiet & secure environment
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year interpretation experience preferred
- Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with permission or at the request of the client
