Job Summary
Shift Leader oversees on-duty restaurant operations, ensuring team members are trained, supported, and motivated to deliver outstanding guest service. Responsibilities include supervising shift operations, ensuring menu items meet Church’s standards, coaching and training team members, assisting during peak periods, enforcing safety, sanitation, and cash-handling policies, performing opening/closing duties, monitoring food handling and storage, ensuring staff punctuality, and maintaining professional leadership behaviors.
Required Qualifications
- Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience
- Must be able to do basic math at the eighth-grade level
- On-the-job training is provided for all new team members
- Must be 18 years or older
- Maintains Food Handlers and Food Safety Certification as required by Refuel
- Must be able to stand during the entire work shift
- Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products
- Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows
- Travel: Must be able to travel up to 10%
