Job Summary
Lead the implementation and development of Family Camp strategy while supporting planning and delivery across Canada. Recruit, equip, and mentor camp leaders, church champions, and volunteers to foster meaningful connections between participants, families, and faith-based partners. Drive national church engagement and Christian Network initiatives by building relationships with pastors, denominational leaders, and ministries, while equipping staff and volunteers with tools for disability inclusion. Coordinate learning cohorts, represent Karis at ministry events, and track partnerships using approved relationship management systems. Serve as the key connection point between engagement initiatives and internal teams, collaborating on storytelling, grant applications, and impact reporting. Model the organization's Christian Faith Foundation and Statement of Faith in all interactions. This full-time role requires frequent travel across Canada, occasional evening and weekend work for camps and events, and a degree or diploma in Theology, Ministry, or a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Five years of progressively responsible leadership experience
- Experience working with churches, Christian ministries, or faith-based organizations
- Experience leading volunteers, programs, projects, or community initiatives
- Experience promoting disability inclusion and fostering communities of belonging
- Degree or diploma in Theology, Ministry, Community Development, Disability Studies, Human Services, Leadership, or a related field
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of Christian ministry, church engagement, disability inclusion, and belonging-centered practices
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Frequent travel across Canada, including overnight stays
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for camps, volunteer gatherings, church engagements, and special events
- Ability to attend and actively participate in Family Camp activities and community events
