Job Summary
Head Coach for CHS Girls Swimming responsible for leading the team, supervising practices and games, and upholding safety and standards. Reports to the Principal and Athletic Director. Responsibilities include maintaining current First Aid/CPR credentials, completing WIAA training and SafeSchools onboarding, supervising and instructing students in the fundamentals of swimming, keeping facilities and equipment in good condition, overseeing travel to games, promoting sportsmanship and fair play, and ensuring availability for practices starting at 3 p.m. with weekend commitments as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must pass fingerprinting/background check
- Must hold a current and valid First Aid and CPR card, OR be able to obtain them prior to working with athletes
- Must be at least 19 years of age for Assistant Coaching Positions and at least 21 years of age for Head Coaching Positions
- Must complete WIAA required training
- Must complete onboarding paperwork and SafeSchools training PRIOR to working with athletes
- Be available for all practices and competitions from 3 p.m. daily during their coaching season with availability on weekends as required
- Prior coaching experience preferred
